Dr. Larry Benz, PT, DPT, FAPTA, OCS, MBA, MAPP, is the founder of Confluent Health, one of the largest physical therapy platforms in the U.S., and currently serves as CEO of Dental Care Alliance, one of the nation’s leading dental support organizations.

A nationally recognized leader in private practice physical therapy and occupational medicine, he is a Catherine Worthingham Fellow (FAPTA), a two-time state Hall of Fame inductee, a recipient of the APTA Private Practice Section’s Robert G. Dicus Award, and was admitted into the KY Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame in 2025. Dr. Benz serves as Chairman of the University of Louisville Board of Trustees and sits on the boards of the University of Louisville Athletic Association and UofL Health. His service includes time as a U.S. Army Captain in the Army Medical Specialist Corps, during which he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.

An accomplished speaker, Dr. Benz has delivered more than 250 invited presentations at conferences and educational programs across the country, including engagements in physical therapy, MBA, and Executive Education curricula. He has contributed to the profession through service on the American Physical Therapy Association’s Advisory Panel on Practice, the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, Foundation for Physical Therapy Research, and Alliance for Physical Therapy Quality and Innovation.
